September 17 - September 20, 2011

As now, it is less than four days away to Akron Marathon.  I am all ready for it...  Here is what I did for the past few days.

September 17, 2011 – I woke up early and got myself to Riley Lock and ran with Mark, whom told me about Akron Marathon exactly one year ago.  Since we both running the same race and it was only a week away, we decided to run very easy for an hour.  Here is the detail http://connect.garmin.com/activity/115046172

September 18, 2011 – I slept a little late and woke up around 10:00 and got myself into running gear around 10:30.  I ran 45:05 approx. 6 miles on Matthew Henson Trail.  After I done with my run, I read most GRCers race reports while having my coffee; good job GRC!!!

September 19, 2011 – As the instruction with Arturo, I ran an easy workout; the plan was 4x400 at 1:30 each, 2x800 at 3:00 each, and 2x400 at 1:26 each.  I ran

4x400 (one minute break in between) -
1:29
1:25
1:24
1:27
2x800 (two minute break in between) -
2:55
2:50

2x400 (one minute break in between) -
1:24
1:18

I felt great at the end, so I decided to do additional 400 and clocked exact same split of 1:18.  I felt very strong after the workout.

September 20, 2011 - I ran an easy hour in C/O Canal towpath approx. 8 miles with M Barry.

Akron marathon is on Saturday morning at 07:00.  If you interested, you can track my split at http://www.xacte.com/templates/akron/.  At this point, I feel strong and motivated.  I don’t want to overestimate myself, but I do looking for a new personal best in marathon.  I will keep y'all post or just follow the link above.
